Fellow advocates and supporters,
Thank you for your continued support through the covid-19 crisis. As a quick update, our men continue to do well in our program despite the challenges of 2020. Your generosity has been instrumental in maintaining morale in the house and inspiring hope in the lives of those we serve. One of our residents expressed the difficulty of a layoff, but he feels blessed to be in a safe place while he looks for another job. We have seen an addiction overcome, financial situations improved, and perspectives changed all because a network of people are taking the time to help complete strangers in their time of need. You are a blessing to the men we serve as well as their families and the community at large. Thank you. “The Way Home” is not just a housing program; it is a community of people fighting to make a change in the way society views and handles the issue of homelessness. You are a part of that community, and we could not be more grateful. Please continue to pray for us as we navigate such a difficult year. Our greatest concern is the looming eviction crisis and how we might be able to play a role to address it. Sincerely, Paul Clements, Executive Director, The Way Home

To our valued community,
Seven *formerly* unhoused men have had secure housing for the past five months as a result of your support and prayers. Thank you. 2019 was a year of reflection, planning, and transition for our organization, and we would not be where we are without the support of our community - without your support. While we have much to celebrate, the current global crisis bears on all of our minds daily. It has affected us and the men whom we serve in various ways. Lost work, financial pressures, tense grocery trips, and more. We take this situation seriously, and we are doing all we can do protect the men we serve from the reach of the virus. The Way Home remains committed, staffed, and financially poised to accomplish our mission. This would be impossible without your continued support. We are beyond grateful for those who prioritize our mission and make such a profound and lasting impact in the lives of the men who have found their way home. We also understand that now may be a difficult time for you to increase or renew your support. For those who are able, please know that your support goes even further than usual to help protect this vulnerable community. We want to once again voice our appreciation that you have stayed invested in The Way Home, and the men that we serve. We are excited for what is coming, and while this is a tumultuous time, we are so thankful for where we are. Sincerely, Kyle Farris Board President of The Way Home |
